Li & Fung Lecture 2nd September 1996 Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Prof. Warren McFarlan, Ross Graham Walker Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University, was invited as the Li & FungLecturer He spoke to a full house on 'Information Technology Enable dTransformationsin Distribution an d Infrastructu 21st Century'. A renowned expert in management information systems, Prof. McFarlan's current research focus is the organization o f information services strategy and its linkage to corporate strategy . Executive Forumon MBA Education 12th October 1996 Sino Building, CUHK campus With 'Developing Managers for the 21st Century' as its theme, the f o r um comprised three sections — a management seminar in which Dr. Charles Steilen of the Department of Marketing delivered a tal k on 'Marketing: The Driving Force for the 21st Century'; an executive development workshop entitled 'Creating Corporate Value' led b y Mr. Shaun Smith of Forum Asia Ltd.; and a CEO seminar i nwhich Mr. Gordon Wu o f Hopewell Holdings Ltd. spoke on 'The Debt Question in Business' as guest speaker. The purpose of the forum was to familiarize chief executive officers and human resource managers of local organizations with the MBA Programmes at the University and to seek their input for the improvement of the programmes.
