Excellent Performance in International Marketing Competition A team o ffive students from the Three-year MBA (Evening) Programme were the section champion an d the overall runners- up of the McGill International Marketing E-Challenge (MIME ) he l d f r om 29th February to 31st March 2000. On the team were Karen Chan, Thomas Tjong, Wong Siu-fung, Alex Yam, and John Yeung. A total o f nine teams f r om international corporations and academic institutes inAmerica, Europe, and Asia were divided into two sections to compete against one another under computer-simulated market conditions i n a game known as Markstrat 3. The Chinese University team was the only team from Asia. Accounting Students Capture Championship in Case Analysis Competition Students from The Chinese University and Taiwan University shared the championship of th eDragon League Accounting Case Competition 2000 held o n the CUHK campus from 1st to 3rd April 2000. J o i n t l y h o s t e d b y t h e School of Ac c o u n t a n cy a n d t h e Society of Accountancy o fThe Chinese University of Hong Kong, the participants of the competition were top accounting students f r om P e k i ng Un i v e r s i t y , F u d an Un i ve r s i t y, Ta iwa n Un i ve r s i t y , a n d CUHK. Given the financial statements of a real listed PRC-based share- A and share-H company, the teams were required to prepare a five-page written report in 17 hours an ddeliver a 30-minute oral presentation to a panel of judges consisting of academics and accounting professionals.
