OneMBA Programme The Faculty of Business Adm i n i s t r a t i o n has f o rmed a partnership w i t h four top business schools i n Europe and Americ a to de l i ver On eMBA , a p r em i er g l obal executive MBA programme that spans five different business cultures and connects a diverse network of executives l i v i ng and w o r k i n g a r o u n d the w o r l d . The f o ur business schools are Funda çã o Getulio Vargas, Escola de A d m i n i s t r a ç ã o de Emp r esas de Sao Pa u l o, B r a z i l; the Mo n t e r r ey Tec h G r a d u a te School of Business Administration and Leadership, M e x i c o ; R o t t e r d a m S c h o o l o f M a n a g e m e n t , E r a s mu s U n i v e r s i t y Ro t t e r dam, the Ne t h e r l a n d s; a n d the Kenan-Flagler Business School, Universit y of No r t h Carolina at Chapel H i l l , USA. The curriculum of the programme w i l l be developed jointly and taught by leading faculty members from the partner schools. OneMBA is designed for executives w i t h increasing international responsibilities, who may include global managers of multi-national companies, and managers of regional and national companies that are operating amid the challenges of a changing international environment. The rigorous 21- month programme w i ll begin i n September 2002 w i t h a class of approximately 100 senior executives d i s t r i bu t e d across the f i ve OneMBA campuses. The students w i l l study at their home business schools for t wo - t h i r d s of the programme and spend th e remaining third w i t h the other students i n experientia l learning modules held in different locations around the wo r l d. Loca l professors w i l l deliver the modules i n their o w n regions, w i t h core courses coordinated across all OneMBA campuses. The participants w i l l wo r k on three international teams during the programme to develop skills i n cross- c u l t u r al interaction and globa l v i r t u a l teamwork. Graduates w i l l receive an MB A degree from their home universities as wel l as the OneMBA certificate. This year, some 10,000 scientists attended the meeting, wh i ch is the largest cancer research meeting in the world, and a total of 5,100 abstracts were presented. Abou t 10 papers were selected for the awards. M r .
