Prof. Mun Kin Chok, a distinguished scholar in marketing, is currently Emeritus Professor of Marketing of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Honorary Fellow of New Asia College. Prof. Mun joined the University in 1969 as lecturer in business administration and retired in 2000. He was dean of the Faculty from 1981 to 1984, and from 1987 to 1993, director of the Executive MBA Programme from 1992 to 2002, chairman of the Advisory Board to the School of Continuing Studies, and chairman of the Management Board of the Asia-Pacific Institute of Business. Prof. Mun pioneered the launch of the Executive MBA programme at CUHK in 1993, the first of its kind in Hong Kong, and a leading programme in both the Asia-Pacific and the world. Prof. Mun helped the University to re-establish its ties with universities and ministries on the mainland shortly after China reopened its doors. In the 1980s and 1990s, he helped mainland universities set up programmes in marketing and international business, and business administration. He held numerous honorary professorships in mainland institutions. Prof. Mun has contributed significantly to the application of classic Chinese philosophy in modern management. Dr. Wang Cheung Tze, Charles, managing director of Salon Films (HK) Ltd., is an outstanding figure in the film industry and a distinguished alumnus of Chung Chi College. Dr. Wang inherited the management of Salon Films from his father in 1968. Under his capable leadership, Salon Films has become a leading force in the local film industry. Dr. Wang has been a member of the Film Services Advisory Committee of the HKSAR and a committee member of the Fundraising and Promotion Committee for the Agency for Volunteer Service. In 1996, he was awarded a D o cto r of Philosophy in Business Adm inistration and Management, honoris causa, by the Southern California University for Professional Studies, and appointed Chevalier de L'O rdre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government. As a member of the Board of Trustees of Chung Chi College since 1990, Dr. Wang has been a staunch supporter of his alma mater. He was chairman of Chung Chi College A lum ni Association and has served as a mentor to Chung Chi students since 1999. Since 1993, Dr. Wang has been appointed a member of the Standing Committee, and convener of the Fundraising Sub Committee of the CUHK Convocation. Ms. Yan Hau Yee, Lina is an eminent educationalist. A distinguished alumna of United College, Ms. Yan is currently chairperson of the CUHK Convocation. Ms. Yan has been a secondary school teacher and served as supervisor and board member of secondary and primary schools and kindergartens. In 1976 she joined Radio Television Hong Kong and when she left in 1995, was head of RTHK's Education Television Division. Ms. Yan continued her career in education as assistant to the Episcopal Delegate for Education from the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, a position she held until 1999. Ms. Yan has contributed immensely to community services, particularly to the promotion of moral education, Chinese culture and a better education system. She was awarded the Medal of Honour by the Government of the HKSAR in 2004. She joined the CUHK Convocation at its inception in 1993 and has served as its chairman since 1999. Ms. Yan also represents the convocation to serve on the University Council, and is an active participant of University committees. Currently board member of the CUHK FAA Education Foundation and member of the Board of Trustees of the United College, Ms. Yan was president of CUHK FAA in 2000-1.
