Exhibition of First Chinese Nobel Laureate in Literature The University Library System (ULS) hosted ‘Exhibition of Gao Xingjian: Sources, Literature and D rama' in commemoration of the kind donation of part of his private collection to the ULS by Dr. Gao Xingjian, Nobel laureate in literature 2000. The exhibition, which ran from 11th to 15th December 2004, fea tu red m anusc rip ts, p a in tin g s , photographs, posters, books, and Dr. Gao's many other personal belongings. The ULS began systema tically collecting research materials on the study of Dr. Gao in 2000. Dr. Gao's p e rs o n a l d o n a tio n has g re a tly consolidated the foundations of the collection. C olin Storey, University librarian, officiating at the opening ceremony Graduation Exhibition of the Department of Fine Arts The graduation exhibition of the Department of Fine Arts took place from 14th May to 26th June in the West-wing gallery of the Art Museum. On display were Chinese paintings, Western paintings, and works of mixed media.
