The 63rd Congregation 29 Professor Wu Guanzhong Professor Wu Guanzhong ( right 2 ), a great master of Chinese painting, is one of the few Chinese artists who has established a reputation both in China and theWest. In recognition of his remarkable achievements in art, and his generous contributions of his expertise towards the development of the Department of FineArts and the Art Museum of The Chinese University, the University conferred upon Professor Wu the degree of Doctor of Literature, honoris causa . As Professor Wuwas unable to attend the ceremony due to personal reasons, Professor Lawrence J. Laumade a trip to Beijing inDecember 2006 to personally present the certificate to Professor Wu.
