Eco-friendly Infrastructure The University has an infrastructure that supports its policies on health and the environment. Here are some of the environment and health promoting elements in its communication and physical structures. Green Publication The University has its own green publication Sustainable Campus . Launched in October 2006, this quarterly newsletter printed on recycled paper introduces to staff, students and alumni of the University our environmental policies and our efforts at greening and sustainable development. Green Website 'Green Campus' is a website dedicated to the communication of news on environmental protection and sustainable development at CUHK. It carries details of our environmental policies and their implementation. There are also maps of hiking trails and information on flora and fauna on campus. Healthy Websites The website of the Committee on Health Promotion and Protection carries daily health news, common information on disease and health, preventive recommendations on personal and communal hygiene that are targeted at different groups on- and off-campus, as well as information on the current Avian Flu response level. The website of the Advisory Committee on Health Promotion and Protection carries health articles by local specialists on infectious, eye, chronic and occupational diseases, nutrition and exercise, as well as a list of health-related programmes at CUHK. ' Sustainable Campus serves to inform the campus community and stimulate discussions on the latest development of our campus and efforts that have been made to ensure a reasonable balance between campus development needs and environmental conservation.'
