If a computerized content analysis was performed on all the news that ever appeared in our era, like it has been on Shakespeare's works, 'environment' and 'health' would very likely make the list of the most frequently appearing words. The natural environment and human health are without doubt two of the greatest global concerns of our time. Scientists and environmentalists have been warning of the urgency of climate change which can, among other things, push diseases to new territories and may even change their transmission dynamics. Here at the Chinese University, we have long recognized the importance of environmental protection and health promotion.
