Topping-out of Hong Kong's First Teaching Hotel The University's teaching hotel, developed by New World Development Company Ltd. on CUHK campus, held its topping-out ceremony on 17 October 2007. The hotel, the first of its kind in Hong Kong, comprises both hotel and teaching facilities. It will serve as a longitudinal and experimental base for education and research at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management. Situated next to the MTR University Station, the 50,000 m 2 structure features teaching facilities, over 500 guest rooms and international- class hotel facilities, to be used by the school for training purposes.
