Seventh Honorary Fellowship Conferment Ceremony   29 P rof. Yeung Yue-man is a renowned urban geographer and Emeritus Professor of Geography at CUHK. He joined the University in 1984 as Professor of Geography and chairman of the Geography Department. He has also made distinguished contributions to the development of CUHK by serving in various important positions, including registrar, head of Shaw College, director of the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies and director of the Shanghai–Hong Kong Development Institute. Prof. Yeung has travelled to over 80 countries for reconnaissance survey and research. Throughout the years, Prof. Yeung has actively participated in urban planning and development, devoting himself to the service of mankind, putting his profound professional knowledge at the disposal of causes that would bring benefits and progress to the people of Hong Kong, mainland China, Asia and the world in the fields of housing policy, urban planning, and economic development.
