46   Chinese University Bulletin No. 1, 2011 Opening of Teaching Hotel and Naming of Cheng Yu Tung Building The grand opening of the Teaching Hotel and the naming of the Cheng Yu Tung Building were held on 4 January 2011. Officiating at the ceremony were the Honourable John C. Tsang (3rd left), Financial Secretar y; Dr. the Honourable Ch e n g Yu - t u n g ( 2n d r i g h t ) , chairman, New World Group; Dr. Cheng Kar-shun Henry (2nd left), managing director, New World Development Company Limited; Dr. Vincent H.C. Cheng (1st right), chairman of the Council, CUHK; and Prof. Joseph J.Y. Sung (1st left), Vice-Chancellor. The Cheng Yu Tung Building, the teaching building, is a part of the Teaching Hotel Project jointly developed by CUHK and the New World Group. Its name honours Dr. Cheng’s contribution to CUHK over the years. The 15-storey building accommodates all teaching and research units of the Faculty of Business Administration and the Institute of Global Economics and Finance. Being the Teaching Hotel, Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin, comprising both a hotel facilities component and a teaching facilities component, is located right next to the MTR University Station. MoE Key Laboratory Established App r oved by t he Mi n i s t r y o f E d u c a t i o n ( M o E ) , t h e K e y Laboratory of High Confidence Sof t wa re Te chno l og i e s ( Sub - Laboratory, CUHK) was established in the Facult y of Engineering of CUHK . A plaque - unveiling ceremony was held on 15 December 2010. Officiating at the ceremony were Mr. Ming Ju (4th left), Director of Depar tment of Science and Technology, MoE; Prof. Lin Jianhua (3rd left), Executive Vice President and Provost of Peking University; Mr. Cao Guoying (3rd right), Associated Counsel, Department of Education, Science and Technology, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in HKSAR; Prof. Yue On- ching (2nd left), Science Advisor, Innovation and Technology Commission of HKSAR; and Prof. Henry Wong (4th right), Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK.
