2   Chinese University Bulletin No. 1, 2012 H o n g K o n g ’ s h i g h e r education sector is entering a new era this year with the introduction of a normative four-year curriculum. Under this new system that’s commonly known as the ‘3+3+4’ curriculum, the vast majority of s tudent s entering univer sity in September 2012 will be studying for four years instead of three. But what does one additional year of university studies mean for CUHK students? What would it entail for the University?
