Bulletin No. 1, 2013

Let’s Build a Bridge 7  finished a number of gabions which were hauled to the river bank. Then they formed a human chain to transport stones to the gabions until they were full. The weather in the following days alternated between sun and rain. One minute the volunteers were sweating under a scorching sky, the next they were toiling away in raincoats and rubber boots. It was in such fickle weather for a week that rocks and beam parts were hauled, floor panels assembled, and railings installed. Eventually the bridge took shape.
