1.1 Students pursuing undergraduate pre-registration nursing studies shall observe rules and regulations stipulated by the University authorities which are applicable and the Regulations Governing Undergraduate Pre- registration Nursing Studies. 1.2 The General Regulations Governing Full-time Undergraduate Studies shall be applicable to full-time pre-registration nursing students with the exception of the following regulations: 5.1 – 5.6 concerning Period of Study; 6.1 – 6.2, 6.4 – 6.5, 6.6 (a) & (b) concerning Course Requirements and Exemptions; 7.1 – 7.2 concerning Course Load; 13.2 – 13.3 concerning Course Assessment and Grades; 14.2, 14.4 concerning Examinations; 15.1 – 15.2 concerning Academic Probation and Discontinuation of Studies; 16.1 – 16.4 concerning Graduation; 17.1 – 17.3 concerning Degree Classification. 2.1 Application for admission to the University as pre-registration nursing students shall comply with the Regulations Governing Admission to Full- time Undergraduate Studies (hereinafter referred to as Admission Regulations). 3.1 A student shall complete the prescribed Nursing courses unless exempted therefrom. 3.2 General Education and Physical Education (a) A student shall also complete before graduation 12 units of General Education courses* as prescribed by the University and the college to which he is assigned and two units of Physical Education courses. R egulations Governing Undergraduate Pre-registration Nursing Studies * Students admitted in 1997–98 and before shall complete 11–12 units of General Education courses.
