This laboratory aims to meet internationally approved standards of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for conducting bioavailability (BA)/ bioequivalence (BE) studies in humans. At present, the laboratory supports the drug industry in providing BA/BE assessment of oral generic drugs. The laboratory is composed of two units, the Clinical Study Unit and the Bioanalytical Unit. The laboratory is well equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for physical and chemical drug testing, including the dissolution tester, disintegration tester, GC, GC-MS, HPLC with auto-sampler, LC-MS, FTIR spectrometer, UV, IR, and fluorescence spectrometers. Backed by highly skilled and experienced professional staff, and by excellent facilities and equipment, this unit is fully committed to providing drug evaluation services that meet internationally recognized standards of quality. Electronics Consultancy Unit Tel.: 2609 8274 Fax.: 2603 5558 E-mail: dept@ee.cuhk.edu.hk Website: http://www.ee.cuhk.edu.hk Established in 1985, the Electronics Consultancy Unit is managed by the Department of Electronic Engineering. Its main function is to provide the community and the industrial sector with consulting services such as expert advice, system design and analysis, feasibility studies, technical and quality audit, laboratory tests, customized seminars and courses, manpower training, and the provision of expert testimony. The unit is fully supported by the academic staff of the department, whose areas of specialization and industrial experience cover the main electronic disciplines such as ASIC/VLSI, analogue and high frequency circuits, biomedical engineering and telemedicine, computer/microprocessor applications, digital signal processing for communication, speech and image signal processing, microwave communication systems, optoelectronics and optical communication, solid state electronics, and materials science.
