ResearchInstitutes andCentres 101 • process development for Chinese medicine. HKIB offers GMP and process development consultation services to local pharmaceutical and Chinese medicine manufacturers. Its incubator facility houses a n umber of companies th at commercialize R&D fruitions. Its Hong Kong Pharmaceutical Technology Centre (PTC) provides technical sup port services on GMP implementation to the local ph armaceutical ind ustry to upgrade its manufacturing processes so that the products can be exported worldwide. With the establishment of th e Process Development Facility for Chinese Medicine, HKIB continues to strengthen its pivotal role in the downstream development of products based on Chinese medicinefor the SAR’s manufacturing sector.
