392 Part 7• University Ordinanceand Regulations Lectu rer shall consist of — ( a ) the Vice-Chan cellor , or a dep uty appoin ted b y him, who shall be Chairman; ( b ) one memb er of the Council appointed by the Council, who is not a member of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( c ) 2 members of theSenate, appointed by theSenate, who are notmembers of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( d ) the Head of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( e ) the Chairman of the Departmen t or head of th e unit in which the appointment is to be made, except that no suchChairman or head shall serve on a Board that is concerned with a post senior to his own post; and ( f ) 2 external experts. 3. The Board of Advisers for each appointment of Lecturer shallconsist of — ( a ) the Vice-Chan cellor , or a dep uty appoin ted b y him, who shall be Chairman; ( b ) one memb er of the Council appointed by the Council, who is not a member of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( c ) 2 members of the Senate appointed by the Senate,who are not members of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( d ) the Head of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( e ) the Chairman of the Departmen t or head of th e unit in which the appointment isto be made; and ( f ) if considered necessary or desirable by the Council, one external expert. 4. The Bo ard of Advisers for each appointmen t of Assistant Lecturer shall co nsist of — ( a ) the Vice-Chan cellor , or a dep uty appoin ted b y him, who shall be Chairman; ( b ) one memb er of the Council appointed by the Council, who is not a member of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( c ) onemember of theSenate appointed by theSenate, who is nota member of the College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( d ) the Head of College to which the appointee will be assigned; ( e ) the Chairman of the Departmen t or head of th e unit in which the appointment is to be made. 5.
