AdmissiontoPart-timeUndergraduateStudies 421 and Mathematics, only the subject with the higher grade will be coun ted), and have had at least four y ears of full-time wor king experience; or 6. possess a qualification obtained outside Hong Kong which qualifies them for university admission in the cou ntry/reg ion where such qualification is obtained; or 7. have comp leted at least one year of u ndergraduate stud y at a recognized university; or 8. be aged 23 or over on 1st September in theyear in which admission is sought, provided: a. they are ableto show either by publication or by other acceptable evidence that they have achieved sufficient competence in their ch osen field o f study to justify admission; or have shown exceptional ability in appropriate academicor professionalfields; and b. they can produce evidence of continuousresidence in Hong Kong for at least three years; and B. sit for an entrance test and obtain satisfactory results therein. III. Admission to the Part-time Degree Programme s in Music with Unit E xemptions Applicants may apply f or admission and b e gran ted an exemp tion o f a specified number of units if they have achieved an acceptable standard* in Chinese lang uage and English languag e and meet the special entrance requirements of the programme concerned as prescribed below. Admission to the Part-time Degree Programme in Music with exemption of 63 units upon admission Applicants shall 1. a. haveobtained a diploma with a major in musicat a recognized post- secondary institution; or b. have obtained a diploma in music awarded by a recognized music institution; or c. have obtained a degree at a recognized university; and 2. have had working experience inmusic; and 3. sit for an entrance test and obtain satisfactory results therein. * Appl icants who have obtain ed grade E or a bove in Chinese Langua ge & Li terature and Eng lish Langu age i n the Hong Kong High er Level Examin ation or equiva lent shall be regarded as ful filling this languagerequirement. Those who havenot shall berequired to take a test in t hese subjects in the Entrance Test of thePart-time Degree Progr ammes.
