Its undergraduate programme in systems engineering and engineering management, which leads to the BEng degree, has four streams of specialization: e-commerce systems, financial engineering, information systems, and logistics and supply chain management. Underlying all streams is the common theme of developing and applying engineering methodologies and information technologies to decision-making and problem solving in complex systems in business, industry, and the public sector. At the graduate level, the department offers programmes leading to the degrees of MSc, MPhil, and PhD in systems engineering and engineering management. The department is also actively engaged in research related to decision methodology and operations, logistics and supply chain management, e-commerce technologies, information systems, engineering management, and financial engineering.
