Research Institutes and Centres 345 Center for Logistics Technologies and Supply Chain Optimization Tel.: 2609 8470 Fax.: 2603 5505 E-mail: office@logitsco.cuhk.edu.hk Website: http://www.logitsco.cuhk.edu.hk The Center for Logistics Technologies and Supply Chain Optimization (Logitsco), formerly the Centre for the Advancement of E-Commerce Technologies, is a cross- disciplinary centre established by the Faculty of Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), in collaboration with Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and other industrial partners. The mission of Logitsco is to foster excellence in the development of knowledge and tools to facilitate supply chain and logistics management along the end-to-end value chain, and more broadly, to support operational decisions and business strategies in the Internet age. Logitsco conducts basic and applied research in three broad areas of technology: logistics and information systems technologies, enterprise solution technologies, and supply-chain optimization technologies. In addition, a cross-disciplinary Master of Science Program in E-Commerce and Logistics Technologies has been developed. It provides students opportunities to enrich their real-world experiences with rigorous academic trainings. Research projects are hosted and conducted in the Cyber Logistics Research Centre (CLRC) and the Supply Chain Management Research Centre (SCMRC). The CLRC focuses on logistics and related technologies while the SCMRC emphasizes the theory and practices of supply chain management. The Knowledge Transfer Office promotes exchanges between the research centres and practitioners and disseminates knowledge to practitioners through open forums, education and training programme, and consultation services. Cyber Logistics Research Centre (Center of Cyber Logistics) Tel.: 3163 4081 Fax.: 3163 4081 E-mail: ccl@baf.msmail.cuhk.edu.hk Website: http://ccl.baf.cuhk.edu.hk The center is devoted to the study and advancement of the theory and practice of e-commerce logistics and logistics e-business, and is particularly interested in collaborative projects with local or regional industries. The centre will facilitate communication among researchers, practitioners, government officials, and other related parties. Research findings are published in scholarly publications and disseminated via forums, conferences, and executive training programmes.
