32 Part 1 • General Information Part 1 measures, installation of in-room digital meter and staff-student catering centre waste-reduction scheme, etc. The College cares a lot about students’ moral and intellectual development, as well as their career prospects. We aim to provide students with whole-person education through a wide range of general education programmes and student development activities, such as seminars, leadership training courses and visiting scholar programmes. Education and activities provided by the College will help its students to be confident and self-motivated, and to speak out and express their opinions. The College provides various scholarships to recognize students with excellent academic and outstanding personal performance. Substantial bursaries and other financial aids are also available for students-in-need. Prof. Joseph Wan-yee Lau, a world-renowned expert on hepato-pancreato- biliary surgery and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is the founding Master of Lee Woo Sing College.
