34 Part 1 • General Information Part 1 In support to the College mission of ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit with Social Responsibility’, the College creates an intimate and dynamic learning atmosphere, students will develop the drive for social entrepreneurship—a passion for creativity and innovation, and acumen in pursuing new projects and ideas, not just for personal gain but for the common good. A wide variety of College activities and programmes being designed according to its mission are launched or under active planning, including creativity programmes, general education programme, service-learning programmes, cultural and exchange programmes, summer research programmes, language enhancement programmes, college forums, green activities, global vision and experience talks, outward bound leadership training, mentorship programme, internship programme and aesthetic programmes, etc. The College particularly encourages students to develop their own initiatives and will provide support both in terms of project grants and faculty resources. The College offers scholarships to students for academic excellence, as well as outstanding performance in other areas such as creative sphere, social endeavours, environmental conservation, arts, and sports. Financial aid is also available to students in need. The College is located by Residence Lane 1. Its student hostels accommodate 600 students in 300 twin rooms. Commuter students, though not living on campus, can still enjoy their campus life at their second home—the full sea view non-resident halls where they interact with fellow students and participate in various hall activities.
