CUHK N e w s l e t t e r No.42 May 1993 Domain and Shareware counter for immediate experiment. If you had spent some time with us, you might have been lucky enough to receive a small souvenir donated by our sponsors before you said good-bye to the fair. At the moment, we are analysing the questionnaires you returned to us. Your feedback will help to further refine our strategies. And we will follow up your request for additional information, if you have so specified. Some visitors told us that they found it hard to absorb all the densely- packed information in one day. That is probably true. But don't worry. The fair was just the beginning. It simply opened up your linkage with the CSC. The information distributed at the fair was the starting point. You may contact the exhibition presenters and seminar speakers if you wish to obtain further information on the relevant topics. The success of the fair should be attributed to many parties. We greatly appreciate the assistance from our sponsors: Asian Electronics, Automated Systems (HK) Ltd., Comtech Computer & Electronics Co., Hewlett-Packard Hong Kong Ltd., IBM China/Hong Kong Corporation, Powerwave Co. Ltd., Sun Microsystems of California Ltd., and System-Pro Computers Ltd. They lent us the demonstration units, subsidized the printing costs, and donated souvenirs. We are also indebted to colleagues of the Sir Run Run Shaw Hall and the Buildings Office for the support they gave. And we look forward to working again with the collaborating units: Department of Architecture, Department of Pharmacology, English Language Teaching Unit, Faculty of Engineering, Information Office, Office of Student Affairs and University Library System. We are already planning a similar event in the coming academic year. In the meantime, please keep on giving us your suggestions to make future fairs more productive. However, we will have a tough record to break as 95 per cent of the visitors responded that their expectations had been either fully or partially met, and 90 per cent said the fair was fully or partially useful to them.
