The target group were adult residents aged 18 or above. A stratifie d systemati c sampl e o f 3,63 1 vali d addresse s wa s drawn , an d 1,993 respondent s wer e successfull y interviewed . Th e result s indicat e tha t loca l socia l scientist s generall y accep t th e principl e o f indigenization, althoug h the y ma y disagre e o n it s proces s an d purposes . Whil e Brow n an d Ki m conclude tha t indigenizatio n i s redundan t an d tha t operationis m i s mor e fundamenta l (i.e . wit h proper operations, indigenization wil l tak e care of itself), this analysis reveals that indigenization i s more tha n it s procedura l an d operationa l considerations .
