宣 布 事項 ANNOUNCEMENTS Shaw College is looking for outgoing young people to serve as resident tutors in its student hostels for the academic year 2001-2. The appointees must be full-time employees of the University and degree-holders. The major duty of a resident tutor, who has to live in the hostel, is to assist the hostel wardens in managing the hostel and promoting hostel life. This is a concurrent appointment. Accommodation will be free but no allowance of any kind will be granted. Please address application letters to Mr. K.F. Chor, who can be reached on Ext. 7358, The deadline for application is 11th May 2000。 招聘研究生宿舍導師 Resident Tutor Vacancies at Postgraduate Halls Nos. 2 to 6 研究生宿舍二至六座(即前教職員宿舍五至九苑)現招聘宿舍導師。導師的主 要職責為協助推動宿舍之各項活動及處理辦事處行政事務。 申請者必須為大學全職教職員並持大學學位。由於硏究生宿舍二至六座是住 宅單位形式，入住導師將各獲分配單位其中一間大單人房，住宿免費，惟並無其 他津貼。申請表格可於新研究生宿舍辦事處索取，並於五月十八日前交回該辦事 處。查詢請致電袁芷芊小姐(二六零三七五七四）。 The postgraduate halls are looking for resident tutors for Halls Nos. 2 to 6, i.e. former staff residences 5 to 9, to be opened in June 2001. Major duties are to help organize and promote hostel activities, and to assist in administrative duties in the General Office. This is a concurrent appointment and free lodging w i ll be provided. There will, however, be no other subsidies of any kind. The halls consist of shared flats, and the appointees w i ll each occupy a large single room in the flat. The appointees must be full-time, degree-holding University staff. Application forms are available in the General Office of the New Postgraduate Hall. Completed forms should be returned to the same office by 18th May 2001. For enquiries, please contact Ms. June Yuen at 2603 7574. 收費及暑期免費校車服務 Free-Charging & Non-Fee-Charging Bus Service for Staff in Summer 交通組提醒大學同人，由一九九二年起，所有校內穿梭校車之乘客，在下列 日期內乘搭穿梭校車時，每次必須繳交面值一元之乘車券： (一）星期日及公眾假期； (二）每年六、七、八月（選科及註冊日除外）。 乘車券每本十張，費用九元，辦公時間在四所書院學生輔導處、崇基/新亞/聯 合微型計算機室、大學紀念品銷售處(富爾敦樓）、研究生宿舍及新研究生宿舍辦 事處、威爾斯親王醫院教習醫院院務室、交通組及保安組(廿四小時)發售。 而為方便教職員上、下班，校方由六月一日至八月卅一日期間，提供不收費 之教職員專用班車服務，每班一車次，按下述時間路線行駛︰ 上行線 星期一至六(兩班次） 上午八時三十分及八時四十分 由嶺南體育館開出，往新亞書院。中途停大 學體育中心、潤昌堂、馮景禧樓及聯合書院。 下行線 星期一至五(兩班次） 下午五時零五分及五時二十分 星期六(一班次） 下午十二時四十五分 由新亞書院開出，往火車站。中途停聯合 書院、大學行政樓、硏究生宿舍及大學體 育中心。 查詢請致電交通組(內線七九九零或七九九二）。 Passengers of the University shuttle buses have since 1992 been required to tender one-dollar coupons on the following days: 1. Sundays and public holidays; 2. all days in June, July, and August, except course selection and registration days. The coupons come in booklets of 10 at the price of $9 per booklet and may be purchased (during office hours) from the College Dean of Students' Offices, the microcomputer laboratories at Chung Chi, New Asia, and United College, the University Souvenir Counter at John Fulton Centre, the General Office of the Postgraduate Hall Complex and the New Postgraduate Hall, Clinical Sciences Administration (Prince of Wales Hospital), the Transport Unit, and the Security Unit (24-hour). The University also provides a non-fee-charging bus service during the months of June, July, and August (except on Sundays and public holidays) for staff members who travel to and from work by train. To tie in with University working hours, the bus w i ll run as per the following schedule from 1 st June to 31 st August this summer. Up Route Monday to Saturday at 8.30 a.m. and 8.40 a.m. (two trips per day) Lingnan Stadium → University Sports Centre → Y.C. Liang Hall→ Fung King Hey Building → United College→ New Asia College Down Route Monday to Friday at 5.05 p.m. and 5.20 p.m. (two trips per day) Saturday at 12.45 p.m. (one trip per day) New Asia College → United College University Administration Building→ Postgraduate Hall Complex → University Sports Centre → University Train Station Enquiries can be directed to the Transport Unit (Ext. 7990 or 7992). 游泳池通告 Swimming Pool Notice 游泳池淺水區將於下列日期及時間借予體育部開辦訓練班： 教職員游泳訓練班 由五月十四至廿九 日逢一、二、四、 五下午五時十五分至六時十五分。 學生游泳訓練班 ( A ) 由五月十六日至六月一日逢一、三、五下午三至五時。 學 生游泳訓練班 ( B ) 由六月四至十五日逢一、二、四、五上午十時三十分至十一時三十分。 另，游泳池第一及第二水線將於五月十四至廿五日逢一、二 、四、五 上午十 時三十分至十一時三十分，借予體育部開辦徒手潛水證書班。 The shallow end of the swimming pool w i ll be reserved by the Physical Education Unit as scheduled below: Swimming Classesfor Staff From 5.15 p.m. to 6.15 p.m. on all weekdays except Wednesday, from 14th to 29th May. Swimming Classesfor Students (A Class) From 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 16th May to 1st June. Swimming Classesfor Students (B Class) From 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on all weekdays except Wednesday, from 4th to 15th June.
