騰飛四十•精進日新 四十周年校慶活動上月展開 吳階平基金成立典禮 Fund, Forum, and Symposium to Promote Medical Exchange Between Hong Kong and the Mainland 為慶祝大學成立四十周年，醫學院特 別成立基金，以促進香港與內地醫學教 育、科研和臨床醫學的交流及發展，並以 蜚聲國際的泌尿科權威、中國著名醫學教 育家吳階平教授名字命名。 吳階平基金成立典禮是大學四十周年 校慶第一項活動，於一月十日在醫學院深 造中心一樓逸夫講學堂舉行，吳階平教授 親臨主持，主禮嘉賓包括香港特別行政區 教育統籌局局長李國章教授、中華小兒外 科學會名譽會長張金哲教授、金耀基校長 和醫學院院長鍾尚志教授。出席者包括內 地十三所頂尖醫學院校的領導。 金耀基校長致歡迎辭時表示，期望吳 階平基金能進一步發揚吳教授積極扶助內 地醫學教育發展的崇高精神，並藉此加強 香港與內地的合作關係。 吳階平基金簡介 基金由香港中文大學醫學院成立及 管理，旨在促進香港與內地醫學院校就 醫學敎育、科研、臨床醫學等項目的交 流及發展。基金信託人來自香港中文大 學及社會賢達。基金歡迎社會各界人士： 支持及慷慨捐款，請逕寄支票至「香港 新界沙田威爾斯親王醫院香港中文大學 醫學院臨床醫學大樓六樓84025室，吳 階平基金秘書處」，支票抬頭寫「香港中 文大學」。查詢請致電基金秘書處周瑤 慧女士（電話二六三二二八四六，電郵 j anetchow@cuhk.edu.hk) 。 金耀基校長（左）致送紀念品予吳階平教授 Prof. Ambrose Y.C . W u Jie-ping 吳階平教授則說，這個基金可望加強 兩地合作與交流，為中國醫學事業的發展 和人類的健康作出貢獻。 吳階平教授為清華大學醫學院院長、 全國人民代表大會常務委員會副委員長、 中國科學院院士及中國工程院院士。 吳教授的主要研究工作包括腎結核晚 期併發症、輸精管絕育、腎上腺外 科、腎代償性增長等多方面。半個世 紀以來，曾出版醫學專著二十一部， 醫學論文一百五十篇，涵蓋甚廣，影 響深遠。吳教授亦為本校榮譽理學博 士，對中大關懷備至，經常為中大醫 學院外科及泌尿科的研究與發展提供 寶貴意見。 醫學院領導交流會 醫學院同日舉行「醫學院領導交 流會」和「小兒外科及小兒骨科新進 展學術研討會」。 交流會的主題為「醫學院在綜合 性大學的角色」，並就拓展內地醫學 院校與中大醫學院交流集思廣 益。應邀出席之內地醫學院校代 表來自山東大學醫學院、中山大 學中山醫學院、中國協和醫科大 學、北京大學醫學部、四川大學 醫學院、吉林大學白求恩醫學部、同 濟大學醫學院、汕頭大學醫學院、南 京大學醫學院、浙江大學醫學院、清 華大學醫學院、復旦大學上海醫學院 及華中科技大學同濟醫學院。 吳階平教授在會上說：「香港特 區有許多經驗值得我們借鑑和學習， 特別是醫學院在綜合大學中的管理和 發展。」他曾多次來香港，參加本校 醫學院的學術活動，深感中大醫學院 的科學研究與管理工作都非常有特 色，也很出色。隨著內地醫療衛生改 革的深入，絕大部分醫學院校都已併 入綜合大學，出現許多新問題，需要 不斷探索和改進。是 次交流相信可加速內 地醫學教育的發展。 小兒外科及小兒 骨科新進展學術研討 會，探討的課題包括 脊柱裂、脊柱側彎、 創傷處理、肢體矯 正、小兒微創外科 等，出席者包括海 外、本港及內地的傑 出小兒外科及小兒骨 科專家。 聯合晚宴 醫學院當晚假海逸酒店一樓宴會大禮 堂舉行吳階平基金成立典禮暨醫學院領導 交流會聯合晚宴，出席者除與會代表外， 尚有港區人大代表等。 金耀基校長在致辭中說：「今次晚宴 可說是整天活動的高潮。但它並非為今次 活動畫上圓滿句號，反之，它為兩地院校 日後展開頻繁的合作交流締造新的契機。」 而中大經歷四十年崢嶸歲月，現時已具備 研究型綜合大學的格局。「第五個十年現 在展開，面前的路未必康莊平坦，但依我 看來，中大將會以堅定、自信的步伐，昂 然迎接新挑戰，寫下更驕人的佳績。」 左起：金耀基校長、吳階平教授、李國章教授 From left : Prof .
