For enquiry, please contact the Payroll and Superannuation Unit at 2609 7236 or 2609 7251. 手術室更新及命名 Upgrading and Renaming of Operating Rooms 醫學院最近將兩間內鏡手術室改裝為「聰明」手術室。這項更新有賴繼昌堂的 慷慨資助,而十號手術室特命名為「繼昌堂手術室」,以彰盛德。 Two high-tech, fully automated operating rooms have been installed at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Upgrade of these operating rooms was subsidized by Kai Chong Tong. Operating Theatre 10 has been named after Kai Chong Tong in recognition of its generosity. 利黃瑤璧樓室內停車場試行計劃 Trial Partial Opening of Esther Lee Building Car Park to Part-time Teachers, Postgraduate and Part-time Degree Students 車輛非法停泊於崇基校園,尤其眾志堂及崇基行政樓迴旋處一帶,對行人及其 他道路使用者構成不便及危險。在二零零五年十一月上旬召開的保安委員會會議 中,委員一致建議開放利黃瑤璧樓室內停車場,在教學日之晚間供持有泊車券之兼 任教員、研究生及兼讀學士課程學生停泊車輛。這項試行計劃詳情如下: ( 一)在教學日,星期一至星期五,由晚上六時至子夜期間,持有泊車券之兼任教 員、持有預繳泊車券之研究生及兼讀學士課程學生,均可停泊車輛在利黃瑤璧 樓第二及第三層停車場。 (二)合資格人士駕車進入校園時,將如常獲發泊車票,倘欲在上述停車場停泊,須 先往崇基行政樓外之閘崗並出示註明車輛號碼之泊車券及泊車票。 (三)於遞交有效之泊車券及泊車票後,車輛可駛往利黃瑤璧樓第二或第三層停泊。 (四)倘若利黃瑤璧樓第二及第三層停車位皆已泊滿,駕駛人須將車輛駛往崇基行政 樓外之閘崗取回泊車券及泊車票,在校園另覓合法停車位。 (五)在利黃瑤璧樓室內停車場停泊之車輛,倘無認可之大學泊車證或未預先辦妥上 述登記手續,將會被扣押。 ( 六)利黃瑤璧樓最低層(即第一層)停車場繼續預留予貼上大學泊車證之車輛使 用。 (七)此計劃約試行半年,評估報告會呈交大學行政事務委員會,以決定是否繼續執 行。 ( 八)試行計劃由二零零六年二月十三日起生效。 Illegally parked vehicles at Chung Chi College campus, particularly in the vicinity of Chung Chi Tang and the roundabout outside the Chung Chi College Administration Building, pose much inconvenience and danger to pedestrians and other road users. At a meeting held in early November 2005, members of the Committee on Security proposed to open up part of the Esther Lee Building Car Parks in the evenings during term time for part-time lecturers, as well as postgraduate and part-time degree students. Having sought the views of relevant departments and units, it is now decided to introduce a trial scheme to partially open the Esther Lee Building car parks. Details are as follows: (i) Eligible part-time lecturers, postgraduate and part-time degree students w i ll be allowed to park their cars on the two upper floors (levels 2 and 3) of the Esther Lee Building car park from 6.00 p.m. to midnight, Monday to Friday, during term time. (ii) Upon entering the campus, part-time lecturers and students w i ll be issued with parking tickets as usual. Should they want to park their cars at the Esther Lee Bu i l d i ng car parks, they must produce valid parking coupons bearing car registration numbers, together with the parking tickets, at the Chung Chi Gate. (iii) After handing in their valid parking coupons and the parking tickets, they may proceed to park their vehicles at the upper floors of the Esther Lee Building car parks. (iv) Should the two upper levels (levels 2 and 3) of the Esther Lee Building car parks be full, drivers are allowed to re-enter via the Chung Chi gate, retrieve their parking tickets and parking coupons and look for a legal parking space elsewhere. (v) Vehicles not displaying appropriate parking labels issued by CUHK and those not registered at the Chung Chi Gate w i ll be impounded i f found parked inside the Esther Lee Building car parks. (vi) The lowest level (level 1) w i ll continue to be reserved for vehicles displaying valid CUHK parking labels. (vii) This scheme w i ll be put on trial for about six months and an assessment report w i l l be submitted to the Administrative Affairs Committee (AAC). Continued implementation of the scheme w i ll be subject to decision of the AAC. (viii) The trial scheme w i ll commence on Monday, 13th February 2006. 資訊科技概論證書課程 Certificate Course in IT Essentials for Staff 為進一步提高校內行政及支援人員的資訊科技水平,資訊科技服務處將於下月 舉辦「資訊科技概論證書課程」。課程包括六個單元:互聯網應用、網上教學、資 訊管理、企業資訊技術、智能卡應用及資訊保安。課程導師由資訊科技服務處資深 電算師擔任,並以網上學習及面授形式進行。 「資訊科技概論證書課程」歡迎各級行政及支援人員參加,助理主任/執行助 理/計劃協調員優先。學費五百港元。學員修畢課程後可參加評核試,若考試合格, 將獲簽發有效期兩年的證書,並等同通過助理主任/執行助理/計劃協調員晉升評核 中的資訊科技水平測試。有關課程詳情及報名辦法,請 參閱 h t t p : / / t r a i n i n g . i t s c . c u h k . edu.hk/ 。 The Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) w i ll organize the Certificate Course in Information Technology Essentials for staff of the University in March 2006. Composed of six modules, viz. (a) Internet and its applications, (b) web-based teaching, (c) information management, (d) enterprise computing, (e) smart card and its applications, and (f) information security, the course is part of a training initiative to help develop the IT competence of administrative and support staff. Featuring face-to- face tutorials and web-based self-study, the course w i l l be delivered by experienced computer officers of ITSC. Application is open to all administrative and support staff with priority given to executive officers, executive assistants and project co-ordinators. The course fee is $500 and course participants w i ll be awarded a certificate after passing an assessment examination at the end of the course. With a validity period of two years, the certificate w i ll be recognized by the University as equivalent to passing the IT test for EO/EA/PC p r omo t i on assessment.
