傑青敎授助人開眼界 眼科及視覺科學學系譚智勇敎授去年底獲國際青年商會香港總 會選為香港十大傑出青年之一，他雖然高興，但認為「服務社 會，協助貧苦治療眼疾，比獲獎更有意義。」 譚敎授於英國劍橋和牛津大學習 醫後回港，曾於威爾斯親王醫院和大 埔雅麗氏何妙齡那打素醫院服務，一 九九六年開始專攻眼科，二零零三年 加入中大醫學院任敎。 他説：「獲獎當然高興，可是我 認為這個獎不獨是表揚個人的成就， 而是彰顯團體的努力和貢獻社會的精 神。」譚敎授專研如何治療急性和慢 性青光眼，並發現氬激光前房擴闊術 能有效醫治急性青光眼。他強調説︰ 「這些研究成果，不是單靠個人的努 力，而是研究小組的合作成果。我們 的研究小組得到七間醫院支持，有三 十多位醫生參與。所以，『傑出青年 獎』是對研究小組工作的認同。」 敎學和行醫之餘，讀敎授積極參 與籌款和義診，為貧窮民眾治療眼 疾，並出任「光明行動」的醫務總 監。該組織的宗旨是加強公眾對護眼 的認識，幫助貧苦眼疾患者，培訓眼 科專才，以&開展眼科科研計劃。一 九九九年成立以來，曾舉辦大型的全 港學童護眼計劃，製作護眼宣傳短 片，又舉辦眼鏡回收計劃，把收到的 眼鏡轉贈與内地有需要的人，並為領 取綜援的長者免費施行白内障手術。 譚敎授表示，他們的服務對象已 擴展至内地，成立了「亮睛行動」， 協助落後地區興建專治白内障的醫 院，並為當地培訓醫生。「我們已在 潮讪地區的三饒、石牆和兩英三地興 建了除盲醫院。這些地方既偏遠又落 後，相信不少香港人從未聽聞。」 而香港的義診，雖然醫護人員不 收分文，但手術費用仍要支付，能提 供免費治療，靠的是「光明行動」籌 得的善款。「但我們資源短絀，受惠 人數畢竟有限。」譚敎授借此籲請大 家支持，協助香港貧苦長者重開 「眼」界。_ 訪問：新聞與傳播學院學生林綸詩 整理：陳偉珠 中文大學出版社新書 The Chinese University Press New Books 《 中 、 高 級 日 語 會 話》 (附兩隻 CD ) 井上由美 本書特色 •內容圍繞香港與日本文化的差 異。 •加入在電影和漫畫中常見的詞彙 與會話，令學習更添趣味。 •介紹新詞彙：每個課題的詞彙豐 富，並附有中英譯文，有助提升日語會話能力。 •內容結構簡明：共有八課，首先介紹文化課題的基礎知 識，接著有會話、詞彙、文法説明（附中文翻譯）以及練 習題。 •介紹口語文法：著重介紹口語句尾的文法變化。 •介紹廣東話與日語發音的相異之處：第八課重點説明廣東 話與日語的發音與結尾助詞有何不同。 國際統一書號 962-996-175-X ，平裝本，一百八十 頁，一百五十港元。 《 紅 衛 兵 日 記》 陳煥仁 歷時十載的文化大革命在中 國人心中留下了不可磨滅的記 憶。事隔四十年，究竟當年參與 文革的北京大學學生懷抱著怎樣 的心情參與這場運動？作者陳煥 仁文革初期於北京大學哲學系上 學，本書是他在新北大公社當紅 衛兵時的日記，從一九六六年五 月二十五日北京大學聶元梓等人貼出全國第一張大字報點燃 文化大革命烈火，到一九七零年三月十七日作者從北大畢 業，幾乎逐日記錄了這三年多裡發生在北大以及文革的大小 事件、他日常生活的所見所聞所思。本書是有關中國文化大 革命社會生活的具體真實兼生動的記錄，既為文革研究者提 供了十分重要的原始文本，也為普羅讀者了解文革提供了可 讀的實錄。 國際統書號 962-996-257-8 ，平裝本，八百四十四頁， —百七十五港元。 Changing Schools for Changing Times: New Directions for the School Curriculum in Hong Kong Kerry J.
