Prof. Lao is a world- renowned philosopher and professor emeritus of philosophy of CUHK. During his stay in the city he will give a public lecture and conduct classes. For details, please visit: http://phil.arts.cuhk.edu.hk/lao2007/ 2007 – 08 年度學生工讀計劃 Student Campus Work Scheme 2007–08 本年度學生工讀計劃基金現已開始接受教職員申請。 Applications for grants under the Student Campus Work Scheme are now invited from members of the academic and administrative staff. 目的 Aim 讓有經濟需要的同學利用課餘時間，協助教職員進行研究或其他工作，以獲取報酬。 To help needy students by providing opportunities for paid campus work, in the form of assisting University academics / administrators in their projects. 工作性質 Nature of Work 協助大學教員從事研究工作。 To assist academic staff in their research projects. 協助行政人員（相等於助理主任級或以上）需要額外人手協助之工作。 To assist administrative staff (equivalent to executive officer rank or above) in projects which require a large task-force on a short-term basis. 其他經學生工讀計劃委員會批准之工作。 Any other job assignments as may be approved by the Committee on Student Campus Work Scheme. 報酬 Remuneration 2006 – 07年度本科生及研究生工讀生報酬為每小時港幣50元正（由學生工讀計劃委員會每 年檢討）。 Remuneration for undergraduates and postgraduates is at HK$50 / hour for 2006 – 07 (subject to review annually by Committee on Student Campus Work Scheme). 申請辦法 Application 申請表格已發送給各部門及行政單位主管。教職員可向其所屬部門或單位索取，填妥後 （由申請者及其部門主管簽妥）請寄回碧秋樓332室入學及學生資助處獎學金及經濟援助組 學生工讀計劃委員會秘書，2007年10月4日截止申請。 Application forms have been sent to the heads of departments and administrative units. Staff members who are interested in applying should obtain application forms from their offices and return the completed application forms (signed by the applicants and their heads) to the Secretary, Committee on Student Campus Work Scheme, c/o Scholarships and Financial Aid Section, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, Room 332 Pi Ch’iu Building no later than 4 October 2007. 備註 Remarks 學生不能連續工作四星期，每星期工作須在18小時以下。 Students will NOT be allowed to work for 18 hours or more in any one week for four weeks or more. 學生的每段受僱期不能超過59日，在兩段受僱期之間最少暫停工作一個月。 The duration of each engagement as a student helper in the University should NOT exceed 59 days. There should be a break of service for at least one month between each engagement and the next. 所有撥款須於2008年9月30日前全數支付。 Approved funds should be expended in full before 30 September 2008. 香港入境事務處規定，持學生簽證來港之非本地生必須獲得該處批准才可在港工作。擬聘 用非本地生者，請向入學及學生資助處獎學金及經濟援助組查詢詳情。 Non-local students who are holding a student visa are not allowed to work in Hong Kong unless approval is obtained from the Immigration Department of the HKSAR. Applicants should be either full-time degree-holding CUHK staff members or postgraduate students. Major duties of a resident tutor include organizing hostel activities, assisting the warden in managing hostel discipline, and promoting hostel life. This is a concurrent appointment. Free accommodation will be provided but no allowance of any kind will be granted. The appointee should pay about HK$700 a year for air-conditioning and telephone services.
