Diligentia College encourages students to explore their talents and nurtures them to be future leaders with critical thinking, empathy, innovation and social responsibility by offering an environment conducive to their intellectual, personal and social development. Taking CUHK’s Educational Philosophy Northward 11 Prof. Gu Yang, Master of Diligentia College A number of scholarships and awards were set up to encourage all-round development, such as student activities excellence awards, hostel performance awards, outstanding social service awards and distinguished service awards. A total of 1,112 students were assigned to Diligentia College, of whom 849 are undergraduates, 249 graduates and 14 exchange students. Diligentia College Diligentia College was established in October 2016. Through a variety of collective activities, the College aims to cultivate in students a sense of belonging, a self-determined, innovative and enterprising spirit, multi-perspectival thinking and social responsibility. The College offers a wide range of regular activities including various lecture series, night talks, high-table dinners, handicraft workshops, the Master’s tea receptions, golf practice sessions, career internships and online sharing forums. There are also annual events such as the New Year Party, the Hakka Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner, cultural festivals, the Orientation Ceremony, and Sports Day. The residential student association organizes the Earth Day outdoor event and the Mid-Autumn Festival Garden Party.
