Inheriting the whole-person and liberal arts educational philosophy from CUHK (SZ), Harmonia College will strive to create a distinctive college culture to nurture all-round development of our students. Taking CUHK’s Educational Philosophy Northward 13 Prof. Ye Lixin, Master of Harmonia College tennis and multifunctional purposes are also available to contribute to a collegiate community with warmth and diversity. Since its inception, the College has organized a variety of student activities, including Orientation and Ice Breaking Activities, Harmonia Evening Talks, and the Mid-Autumn Festival Party. The James A. Mirrlees Scholarship was established to promote academic exchanges and collaborations between mainland China and Hong Kong and overseas, and provide financial support for its students to join exchange programmes at Hong Kong universities. Harmonia College Harmonia College was founded in March 2018 with a generous donation from Mr. Yang Xiangbo , notable entrepreneur in Hong Kong, member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Shirble Group. The first cohort of 597 students was admitted in September of the same year. The College places strong emphasis on whole-person education by offering students personal guidance, cultural, recreational and physical activities, and diversified courses. Composed of four student hostels and approximately 400 rooms, the College can provide accommodation for up to 1,400 students at its full capacity.
