The 85th and 86th Congregations 23 Honorary Doctorate 3 Doctoral 448 Master’s 5,672 Bachelor’s 4,150 Number of Degrees Conferred in the 85th and 86th Congregations The 85th Congregation, presided by Dr. Norman N.P. Leung , Chairman of the Council, conferred close to 10,000 bachelor’s and master’s degrees in total. It was the first congregation attended by Prof. Rocky S. Tuan , Vice-Chancellor and President, who shared his thoughts with the new graduates. In his speech, he called on students to remain true to their aspirations and passion, and be steadfast in their pursuit of what is beautiful and good. The 86th Congregation was presided by the Honourable Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor , Chancellor of CUHK. A total of 448 doctoral degrees were conferred on the occasion. Three distinguished persons were conferred honorary degrees in recognition of their outstanding contributions to community welfare, scientific research, and the promotion of educational and financial affairs.
