精研探微 格物知新 Exceeding the Limits of Today for a New Tomorrow 29 智慧排水監測系統 電子工程學系吳克利教授及其團隊,在創新 科技署的資助下,研發了智慧排水監測系統, 能提供即時地下氣體含量及水位等資料(上 圖)。該系統設置無線器件於沙井內,把氣體 濃度、非法廢水排放、渠道堵塞等資料傳送 至前線員工。不少內地和海外機構對智慧排 水監測系統表示興趣。 山泥傾瀉監察系統 系統工程及工程管理學系鄭進雄教授的另一 發明「山泥傾瀉監察系統」,獲2018年度香 港資訊及科技獎頒發「智慧生活獎」智能家 居組別銀獎。該系統安裝於泥石壩及柔性防 護網上,感應樹枝、石塊的撞擊,提供具效 益的實時山泥傾瀉監察,並可向智能手機傳 送警示。 Smart Drainage Surveillance With the support of the Innovation and Technology Commission, Prof. Wu Keli and his team developed a smart drainage system capable of providing real-time information on drainage performance, concentration of gases and water levels (top photo). Through wireless devices installed in manholes, the system helps frontline staff keep tabs on gas emission, illegal wastewater discharge, and blockage, etc. A number of national and overseas organizations have shown interest in the system. Landslide Detection System Another invention also by Prof. Cheng Chun-hung of the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management—the landslide detection system—won a silver award under the category of Smart Living (Smart Home) of the HKICT Awards 2018. The system, mounted on debris-resistant barriers and flexible wire mesh fence barriers, can sense the impact from objects such as twigs and stones, offering low-cost and low-energy real-time monitoring of hillslopes to detect landslides.
