The firs t Docto r o f Medicin e (M. D . ) degre e wa s conferred i n Decembe r 1986. I n addition , postgraduat e trainin g programme s ar e organize d b y all th e clinica l department s t o assis t junio r medica l practitioner s i n thei r preparation fo r examination s leadin g t o highe r qualifications . Faculty o f Busines s Administratio n The Facult y o f Busines s Administratio n ha s als o take n a major ste p to furthe r consolidat e it s programmes . I n 1986/87 , th e Senat e an d th e Council approve d th e Faculty' s comprehensiv e pla n fo r th e implementation of a full y integrate d genera l Bachelo r o f Busines s Administratio n Programme w i t h si x area s o f specialization , namely , Accounting , Finance, Marketing , Internationa l Business , Organizatio n an d Management, and Operations an d Systems Management . Startin g from 1987/8 8 the thre e existin g Department s an d th e M B A Divisio n w i l l b e reorganized into a Boar d o f Undergraduat e Studie s an d a Boar d o f Graduat e Studies.
