Academic Development 學術發展 13 新 任 教 師 與 資 深 教 員 交 流 經 驗 , 以 改 善 教 學 技 巧 。 New teachers exchanging views with senior academics about teaching skills faculties, it was decided that the faculties s h o u ld continue to be entrusted w i t h the responsibility of i mp l eme n t i ng course evaluation. To p r o v i de a u n i f o rm approach to certain aspects in conducting the exercise, a se t of guidelines on implementing course evaluation was adopted by the Senate during the year. The Senate also a d o p t ed a r e c omme n d a t i on f r om the Ac a d em ic Staff Re v i ew Committee to use course evaluation results as one element of staff appraisal f r om 1995- 96, so as to e x p a nd the range of objective inputs to the appraisal exercises. To help engender a reflective attitude on teaching and learning quality and to make available the expertise, facilities a nd resources required for teaching staff to develop their teaching skills, a Teaching Development Unit was set u p in February 1995, ma k i ng use of resources made available by the University Grants Committee i n the f o r m of Teaching Development Grants. 學術交流 A c a d e m i c E x c h a n ge 透過大學、書院、學院、學系不同層面的合作交流,本校不斷擴展及鞏固與海外卓越 學府之聯繫,師生得以在世界各地之學術機構作較長期的進修、教學或硏究,獲益匪淺。 The University c o n t i n u ed to e x p a nd a nd enhance its links w i t h academic a nd research centres of excellence abroad.
