The New Academic Titles Scheme and the Equal Terms Policy introduced in 1994-95 were in f u ll swing du r i ng the year under review. Of the 832 academic staff to w h om the New Academic Titles Scheme applies, 688 have adopted the new academic titles. A l l new teachers appointed on or after 1st August 1995 w i l l be accorded new academic titles. Other personnel policy changes in the year aim at giving clearer guidance to staff members on employmen t outside the University. These include a revision of outside practice regulations and a review of the policy on remunerative public service. In response to new legislation passed by the government, the University introduced a Sexual Harassment Policy to raise awareness of the issue and to provide procedures for handling complaints and offences on campus. I n v i ew of the new ly enacted Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the University has also taken steps to ensure compliance w i t h the Ordinance on campus. 員工福利 Staff Benefits 新的「教職員公積金計劃」業於一九九五年七月一日起實施,並於同年十月向職業退休金 計劃註冊處註冊。大學另一個退休金計劃——(丙)類服務條款僱員終期額外酬金計劃——經 修訂以符合職業退休保障法例後,亦完成註冊手續。 The new Staff Superannuation Scheme introduced on 1st July 1995 was registered w i t h the Office of Occupational Retirement Schemes in October the same year. The other retirement benefit scheme, the Terminal Gratuity Scheme for staff members on Terms of Service (C), was also revised i n alignment w i t h the provisions of the Occupational Retirement Schemes Ordinance during the year, and subsequently registered. 教職員培訓及發展 Staff Training and D e v e l o p m e n t 本校極重視教職員培訓及發展,經常鼓勵員工進修,以配合不斷改變的工作需要或締造 更佳晉升機會。一九九五至九六年度共有一千七百多名僱員參與不同性質的培訓及發展計 劃,獲益良多。 •教職員進修計劃:十七位教師及行政人員獲校方或校外基金給予獎助學金或假期,在本港 或海外專上院校進修、受訓,或進行研究工作。 •暑期海外研究工作特別補助金:校方撥出七十七萬港元,資助三十項計劃,供教師於一九 staff 教職員 43
