Durin g th e year , 1 6 origina l academic works , t w o issue s o f academi c journals , 1 9 ne w general titles , an d t w o audio-visua l educationa l programme s we re published . Si x publishe d title s wer e als o reprinted . Al l these represente d significan t contribution s o f knowledg e t o the communit y a t large . 擴展持續教育 中大的校外進修學院三十多年來一直致力於倡導和推廣持續及終生 敎育，於一九九七至九八年度開辦了數十種不同的課程，共一千五百 多個科目，學員人次超過二萬七千。新設的主要課程有「警學及保安 文憑課程」、「幼兒工作者營養敎育文憑課程」及「音樂演奏（鋼 琴）證書/ 文憑課程」等，其中的「警學及保安文憑課程」更是本港 首創，為警務及保安人員度身訂造。 另外，該院繼續與本地及海外著名敎育機構及專業團體合作開辦新 課程，例如與校內的會計學院及訊息網絡研究所有限公司合作，為 在職人士提供專業培訓課程；又分別與美國俄亥俄大學及澳洲維 多利亞科技大學攜手，發展老人學與電腦科技新課程；另與中國政 法大學成人敎育學院合辦「中國法律高級研究文憑課程」。 該院位於尖沙阻安年大廈的十五個課室剛重新裝修完畢，並增添了電 腦和敎學器材，為學員提供更舒適的學習環境。 Provision of Continuing Education With a missio n t o promot e continuin g an d lifelon g education , the University' s Schoo l o f Continuin g Studie s (SOS ) ha s been servin g adul t student s fo r ove r 3 3 years .
