The SC S als o renovate d it s 1 5 classroom s a t Orienta l Centre i n Tsimshatsui , adde d a ne w compute r laborator y t o its existin g facilities , an d upgrade d it s teachin g equipmen t t o improve service s t o students . 支援工商業 中大亞太工商研究所為管理人員及公司提供培訓、研究及顧問服務， 旨在加強他們的實力，以面對本港及亞太地區商業發展帶來的新挑 戰。該所於本學年與美國及南非多所著名學府合辦行政人員培訓課 程，並為本地商業機構舉辦工作坊和研討會，又開辦九項文憑課程， 其中一項與聯合交易所合辦，另外七項與中大工商管理學院合辦。該 所 另 於 九 七 年 八 月 開 辦 商 業 傳 意 證 書 課 程 ， 以 增 強 商 業 行 政人 員的英語能力。同年九月與聯合交易所合作出版《香港證券業參考手 冊》（第三版）。 另一方面，本校積極參舆工業及應用研究的發展工作，以加強與工業 界的聯繫，促進技術轉移。過去一年中大獲工業署資助逾八千萬元， 開展十七項極具工商發展潛質的研究計劃，課題涵蓋生物化學、 生物、化學、中藥、計算機科學與工程、訊息工程、眼科及視覺科 苗寶寶 Baby Plan t ™ 香港中文大學年報 服 務 香港 放 眼 世界 6 5
