校友 本校自成立以來，共培育了五萬多名畢業生，現今遍布各行各業， 為社會作出貢獻，其中包括科硏和學術界的知名人士，也有工商界和 政界翹楚。 於一九九七至九八年度獲得殊榮之中大校友有張敏儀女士和譚偉豪 先生。張敏儀女士為現任廣播處長，本年獲選為美國全國電視藝術與 科學學會國際議會理事。張女士曾於一九八八年獲選為英聯邦廣 播協會主席，是出任該職的首位亞裔人士兼首位女性。譚偉豪先生則 獲選為「香港十大傑出青年」，並獲工業總會推選為青年工業大使， 其創辦的公司更獲「一九九七香港工業獎：科技成就」。譚先生在 一九八九年推出風靡全球的英漢電子辭典，更在九三年創下年僅二十 八歲便出任本港上市公司主席的紀錄。 不少校友以其專業知識和經驗協助母校發展，除了參與校內各類諮詢 委員會外，也有出任大學和書院校董，或應邀主持專業講座，與學 生分享他們的工作經驗和心得。 中大各校友會除了致力聯絡校友，以及加強與母校的聯繫外，更十 分關注社會事務和內地敎育的發展。例如中大評議會曾經就香港特別 行政區行政長官首份《施政報告》的高等敎育部分進行了校友意見調 查，報告書獲得傳媒的廣泛報導，推動了社會各界對有關議題的討 論。而「香港中文大學校友會聯會敎育基金會有限公司」則繼續籌款 支持內地貧困地區的小學敎育，受惠學童至今已超過一千人：該公司 又集資在內地先後興建了三所校友會小學。連同早前在本港開辦的 幼稚園、小學和中學各一所，「香港中文大學校友會聯會」在本港 及內地共興辦了六所學校。 Alumni Since it s foundin g th e Universit y ha s produce d ove r fift y thousand graduates .
