研究成果 本校的研究成果屢獲國際和本地權威期刊刊載。以一九九八至九 九年度計算，本校敎研人員發表專論共二千九百一十九種，其中 四分之三獲刊載於具評審制度的期刊。 專利權 本校約於五年前開始為有關發明正式申請專利權，嗣後取得專利 權的數目按年遞增。截至一九九九年六月，本校共取得十一項美 國專利，涵蓋生物技術、資訊科技、藥物、醫療技術，以及材料 科學，部分發明更已進軍國際市場。例如 CALIC 技術將會為國 際標準化組織、國際電工委員會及資訊科技聯合技術委員會廿九 號小組之第一工作小組所採用，成為 JPEG-LS 新標準的核心技 術。隨著研究成果的產生，許多分拆公司亦相繼成立，把這些成 果商品化。 r e s e a r c h o u t p u t The findings of the University's research have been published in many prestigious international an d local journals. For the year 1998-99, a total of 2,919 publications by University members were recorded. Of these, 75 per cent were carried in refereed journals. p a t e n t a c t i v i t i e s Although the University did not start any formal patent applications until five years ago, the number of patents allowed has been increasing. As at June 1999, the University secured 11 US patents coverin g various fields in biotechnology, information technology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology as well as materials science . Some technologies developed at CUHK have also found their way to the international market.
