學術發展 17 ACADEMI C DEVELOPMEN T 本年度是一九九八至二零零一年三年撥款期的第二年，中大 的學術發展繼續以改進敎學與研究素質為重點，並致力提 高成本效益。 新設課程 本年增設的本科課程共有三項，研究院課程共有五項，計為： 本科課程 •酒店管理工商管理學士課程 •中醫學學士課程 •四年制體育運動科學敎育學士課程 研究院課程 •流行病學與生物統計學學士後文憑課程 •新聞學文學碩士課程 •宗敎研究文學碩士課程 •法律與公共事務社會科學碩士課程 •產科護理碩士課程 I n 1999-2000, th e second year o f the 1998-2001 triennium, th e emphasis o fth e University's academic development continued t o b e quality enhancement i n teaching and research and cost-efficiency. New Programmes o f Study A total o f three undergraduate programmes and five postgraduate programmes were introduced i n the year. Programme i n La w and Public Affairs • Master o f M i dw i f e ry Programme Teaching and Learning Quality The University was persistent i n it s efforts t o mo n i t or th e quality o f teaching andlearning. Thi s was done through regular reviews o f it s various quality assurance processes, academic programmes, and teaching methods . T o establish more channels of communication between th eUniversity and th e student c ommu n i t y a t large o n issues o f teaching and learning quality, th e University Senate approved i n October 1999 th e creation o f one seat for each college student u n i on i n the Senate, t o b e effective once th e necessary amendments are made to th e University Statutes. T o encourage th e seven faculties t o review th e needs o f their students i n general education and t o identify suitable general education courses fo r
