研究 40 RESEARC H 研究經費 校內研究架構的運作經費，直接來自大學敎育資助委員會， 而個別研究項目則主要由研究資助局資助。 敎資會於一九九九年推出卓越學科領域計劃，並於九月選出 三個科研項目作長線投資，其中兩個由中大敎研人員參與開 發：一是生物系辛世文敎授主持的「植物與真菌生物科技」 計劃，獲資助三千八百八十萬港元；二是「資訊科技」計 劃，獲撥款五千一百萬港元，此乃聯校合作項目，由訊息工 程學系劉紹強敎授代表中大參與。 Research Funding Research infrastructure i n the Un i v e r s i ty is directl y funded by the U n i v e r s i ty Grants Comm i t t ee ( UGC ), w h i le research projects are largely supported by the Researc h Grams Co u n c il (RGC). T he project o n 'Plant and Fungal Biotechnology' led b y Prof. Samuel Sun of the Department of B i o l o gy was awarded HK$38.8 m i l l i o n.
