(1) 紫霞樓連接志文樓的行人天橋 Footbridge extending from Daisy Li Hall at New Asia College (2) 工程學大樓第二期快將落成 Engineering building phase II development in progress 連接新亞書院紫霞樓和志文樓的行人天橋如期在 二零零二年八月底完成；聯合書院陳震夏宿舍的 工程進展順利，地盤平整工程已獲屋宇署審核， 現正進行上蓋工程。位於威爾斯親王醫院的何善 衡夫人醫科生宿舍擴建工程完竣，並於二零零三 年六月啟用，而工程學大樓第二期預算可於二零 零三年底入伙。 大學本部科學實驗室專門大樓的建築地盤，先前 接獲危險斜坡修葺令，後於二零零三年初解除， 建築工程亦已恢復。該樓的外形經特別設計，可 收節省能源及保護環境之效。 大型翻新及改善工程 不少樓宇於是年完成裝修或擴建工程，當中包括 祟基學院的何善衡夫人宿舍和文質堂，新亞書院 的誠明館，位於田家炳樓平台的圖書館擴建設 施，文物館，保安交通中心，何善衡工程學大樓 王統元堂，位於博文苑的校外進修學院辦公室， 位於人文館的新聞與傳播學院，位於牟路思怡圖 書館的鄧雁玲科學普及敎育中心，以及位於威爾 斯親王醫院的李炳醫學圖書館。 鞏固斜坡工程 大學七十幅斜坡的鞏固工程進展良好；校方亦 已向政府申請撥款，為另外數十幅斜坡進行勘探 工程。 full steam. Having gone through numerous technical and administrative hurdles, works for the extension to the Madam S.H. Ho Hostel for medical students at the Prince of Wales Hospital were completed. The premises were handed over to users in mid-June 2003. Meantime, good progress was registered for Phase II development of the Engineering Building, with occupation permit targetted for October 2003. Site works for the Centralized Science Laboratories Building were resuscitated after the discharge of the Dangerous Hillside Order in early 2003. The building's facade was designed using advanced technology to conserve energy and to protect the environment. Alteration, Addition and Improvement Works Renovation and extension works were completed for a host of facilities: the Madam S.H. Ho Hall and Wen Chih Tang on Chung Chi campus, Cheng Ming Building on New Asia campus, University Library facilities on the roof podium of Tin Ka Ping Building, LG/F of the Art Museum, G/F of the Security and Transport Building, T.Y. Wong Hall at the Ho Sin-Hang Engineering Building, LG/F and G/F of the Inter-University Hall for the School of Continuing Studies, 1-3/F of the Humanities Building for the School of Journalism and Communication, the Tang Ngan Leng Centre for General Science Education on the roof of the Elisabeth Luce Moore Library, and the Li Ping Medical Library at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Slope Stabilization Site works for two phases of stability improvement involving a total of 70 slope features were in fair progress.
