Dr. Yang Yubin, postdoctoral research fellow of the Joint Laboratory for Ge o i n f o rma t i on Science, w o n the t h i rd prize i n the n a t i o nw i de Astronautic I n n o v a t i on Competition. I n the T h i rd Greater Ch i na General K n o w l e d ge C omp e t i t i on h e ld i n Beijing, a t e am of C U H K u n d e r g r a d u a t es beat m a n y prestigious universities, i n c l u d i ng Pe k i ng Un i v e r s i ty a nd Tsinghua University, to w i n second prize. A t the N a t i o n al U n d e r g r a d u a te Electronic D e s i gn Co n t e st h e l d at Sh a n g h ai Jiaotong Un i v e r s i t y, six u n d e r g r a d u a t es of the D e p a r t m e nt of C o m p u t er Science a n d E n g i n e e r i ng s u bm i t t ed t wo designs for adjudication a nd b o th were awa r d ed second prize. Over 70 delegations f r om the ma i n l a nd a nd T a i wan we re received b y C U H K this year.
