傑出研究計劃 理學院 Outstanding Reseach Project Faculty of Science 加入國際人類基因組單體型圖公會 CUHK Involved in the International HapMap Consortium 人 類 基 因 組 單 體 型圖 ( H a p M a p ) 公 會 成員 來 自 美 國 、 加 拿 大 、日 本 和 中 國 。 公 會 於二 零 零二 年 通 過 協 議， 由 各 國 合 作 分 析 全 部 人 類 基 因 組 ， 其中美 國 科 學 家 負 責三成 ， 英 國 和日本 各 負 責 四 分一， 加 拿 大 和中國 則各 負 責一 成 。 香 港 中 文大 學 先 後 獲 得大 學 敎 育 資 助 委員 會 一 千 五 百 萬 元 和 創 新 科 技 署一 千 萬 元 的 硏 究經 費 ，完 成了整 項 計 劃 的 百 分 之二（ 約 第三號 染 色 體 6 0 M b 序 列）。 人 類 基 因 組 單 體 型 圖 計 劃 的目 的 ， 是 從 人 類 社 群 觀 察 到 的 共 同 袓 先 基 因 片 段( 基 因 組 單 體 型 區 ) 獲 得 完 整目 錄 。 為 遺 傳 硏 究 開 拓 豐 富 的 資 源 ， D N A 樣 本 採自 尼 日 利 亞 的 優 魯 巴 人 ，日 本 人 ， 中 國 漢 人 ， 以 及 袓 先 來自 北 歐 或 及 西 歐 的 美 國 人。 The Haplotype Map (HapMap) Consortium consists of scientists from the US, the UK, Canada, Japan, and China. In 2002, an agreement was struck to divide the efforts to analyse the entire human genome: 30 per cent of the mapping will be done by US teams, 25 per cent each for UK and Japan teams, and 10 per cent each for Canada and China teams. CUHK is one of the three groups that genotyped 2 per cent of the project (approximately 60 Mb of Chromosome 3). A budget of HK$15 million from the UGC as well as HK$10 million from the Innovation and Technology Commission was obtained for the project. The goal of the Human Haplotype Map is to create a comprehensive resource for genetic research: the complete catalogue of the common ancestral segments (haplotype blocks) observed in the human population. DNA samples were collected from the Yorubas in Nigeria, Japanese, Han Chinese, and US residents with ancestry from northern and western Europe. 5 6 研究 Research
