In the same year, CUHK welcomed a total of 856 incoming exchange students from all over the world during the term and the summer, representing a 22.5% increase over the previous year. The CUHK International Summer School welcomed its fourth cohort of students from 25 June to 5 August 2007. A total of 231 international students from 23 countries joined the school and took courses in business, Chinese language, humanities, and social science. The school also drew 190 CUHK students and 66 students from other local institutions. In addition, the University welcomed 29 international students under the Global Learning Opportunities in Business Education programme during summer.
