Brustein • 美國國際教育協會副總裁 Ms. Peggy Blumenthal • 美國雅禮協會會長 Ms. Nancy Yao Maasbach 在二零零九至一零年度共有五位偉倫訪問 教授到訪中大： • 英國衞生部首席衛生官員利安姆．唐納 森爵士 • 美國加州大學柏克萊分校資訊管理學院 院長 Prof. AnnaLee Saxenian • 美國密歇根大學 Otis Dudley Duncan 社會學傑出教授謝宇教授 • 美國普林斯頓大學地質學系及大氣和 海洋科學課程劉雅章教授 • 美國史丹福大學統計學系 Marjorie Mhoon Fair 計量科學教授 Prof. Iain Johnstone 中大在是年度與外地院校簽訂了九十一份 備忘錄，當中三十二份為新訂，部分內容 包括： • 成立清華大學─麻省理工學院─香港 中文大學理論計算機科學研究中心 • 太空與地球信息科學研究所與美國地 質調查局，簽訂地球科學科技合作議 定書 • 工商管理學院與美國南卡羅萊納州大學 達拉摩爾商學院合作，開辦全新的專修 課程─國際貿易及中國企業。 大學透過多項計劃贊助博士生及教員前 往海外從事研究，其中寰宇卓越研究獎勵 計劃就贊助了四位初級教職員、十九位博 士候選人及七位訪問博士生。 • Prof. Jonathan Veitch, President, Occidental College (US) • Prof. William I. They were: • Prof. Sir Liam J. Donaldson, Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health (UK) • Prof. AnnaLee Saxenian, Dean of the School of Information, University of California Berkeley (US) • Prof. Xie Yu, Otis Dudley Duncan Distinguished University Professor of Sociology, University of Michigan (US) • Prof. Lau Ngar-cheung Gabriel, Professor at the Department of Geosciences and Program of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Princeton University (US) • Prof. Iain Johnstone, Marjorie Mhoon Fair Professor in Quantitative Science in the Department of Statistics, Stanford University (US) The University signed 91 MOUs in 2009–10. Of them, 32 were for new partnerships and programmes, including: • Establishment of the Tsinghua–MIT–CUHK Research Center for Theoretical Computer Science between CUHK, Tsinghua University, and MIT • Signing of a protocol on scientific and technical cooperation in earth sciences between the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science of CUHK and the US Geological Survey • Partnership in the International Business and Chinese Enterprise Stream between the Faculty of Business Administration of CUHK and the Darla Moore School of Business of the University of South Carolina (US) A number of scholarships and fellowships were made available to PhD candidates and CUHK faculty for research attachments overseas. This included the Global Scholarship Programme for Research Excellence which made a total of 30 awards to four CUHK junior faculty, 19 CUHK PhD candidates and seven visiting PhD students. 中大生於南非的幼稚園授課 CUHK student teaching in a kindergarten in South Africa
