24 Links with Mainland China and Taiwan In 2009–10 CUHK continued to expand and deepen academic linkages with leading institutions, research institutes, academic or government organizations in mainland China and Taiwan. A total of 57 academic exchange agreements were signed to forge academic collaboration ranging from joint laboratory, student exchange, to research collaboration and joint programme, among which 40 of the agreements were on newly established partnerships. CUHK joined hands with mainland partners to establish research units including: • State Key Laboratory on Synthetic Chemistry • State Key Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Plant Resources in West China (CUHK) • CUHK MoE—Microsoft Key Laboratory of Human-Centric Computing and Interface Technologies • Joint Research Center for Optomechatronic Design and Engineering • Joint Eye Research Centre During the year, CUHK welcomed 169 delegations from mainland China and Taiwan. Among these delegations, 59 groups were led by university vice- presidents or above and 48 of them were official visits from CUHK’s strategic partners such as leading universities on the mainland, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Ms. Chen Zhili, President of the All-China Women’s Federation and Vice-Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), led a 20-member delegation to visit CUHK on 30 August 2009. A six-member delegation led by Prof. Yang Yuliang, President of Fudan University visited the University on 7 September 2009. Professor Yang gave a public lecture on ‘Humanities and General Education in University’. Prof. Lee Lou-chuang, Minister of the National Science Council and academician of Academia Sinica of Taiwan, led a six-member delegation to visit CUHK on 14 June 2010 and gave a lecture on space science. A delegation from the sixth Cross-Strait Meeting for University Presidents visited the University on 25 July 2010. The delegation comprised Prof. Jiang Shusheng, Chairman of the China Democratic League and Vice-Chairman of the 11th NPC Standing Committee, and 20 university presidents from institutions in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. 兩岸學術交流 二零零九至一零年度，中大繼續拓展與內 地及台灣頂尖院校、研究中心、學術機構 以及地方政府之間的學術聯盟，並深化與 學術夥伴的緊密合作關係。是年度，中大 與內地及台灣院校共簽訂了五十七份備忘 錄，合作範圍包括共建聯合實驗室、學生 交流、研究合作項目以及合辦課程，當中 新簽訂者四十份。 中大與內地合作夥伴成立多個聯合研究 機構： • 合成化學國家重點實驗室 • 植物化學與西部植物資源可持續利用 國家重點實驗室（香港中文大學） • 香港中文大學利群計算及界面科技教 育部—微軟重點實驗室 • 光機電設計與工程聯合研究中心 • 聯合眼病研究中心 是年度共有一百六十九個內地及台灣的代 表團到訪中大，當中五十九個由大學副校 長或以上級別的人員率領，四十八個屬於 中大策略合作夥伴的訪問，例如內地重 點大學、國家自然科學基金會、中國科學 院、中國工程院、教育部及科學技術部。 全國人大副委員長、中華全國婦女聯合會 主席陳至立女士於二零零九年八月三十 日，率領二十人代表團到訪，促進交流，增 加彼此了解。 復旦大學校長楊玉良教授於二零零九年 九月七日率領六人代表團蒞臨訪問，並主 持公開講座「大學的人文精神與通識教 育」。 台灣行政院國家科學委員會主任委員兼中 央研究院院士李羅權教授，於二零一零年 六月十四日率領六人代表團蒞臨訪問，並 主持有關太空科學的學術講座。 第六屆「兩岸四地大學校長聯誼活動」代 表團於二零一零年七月二十五日蒞臨中大 訪問。代表團成員包括中國民主同盟主 席、第十一屆全國人大常委會副委員長蔣 樹聲教授以及來自內地、台灣、香港及澳 門共二十位大學校長。 其他來訪的嘉賓計有： • 中國科學院副院長江綿恒教授 • 國家科學技術部副部長曹健林教授 • 第九、十屆全國人大常委會副委員長 成思危教授 • 清華大學校長顧秉林教授 • 台灣教育部部長吳清基博士 • 台灣大學校長李嗣涔教授 • 澳門大學校董會主席謝志偉博士及校 長趙偉教授
