79 校 園 發 展 與 環 境 保 護 Campus Development and Environmental Protection Campus Master Planning The Final Report of the Campus Master Plan was released in January 2010. The report describes the consultative process and the resulting proposals to deliver an overall planning framework for the University campus. It sets up a blueprint for the development of a sustainable campus for the years leading to 2021 and beyond. Capital Projects The site formation and foundation works for Block 1 of the Centralized General Research Lab Complex (Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building) in Area 39 was completed. The superstructure works commenced and were expected to be completed by November 2011. This state-of-the-art research facility will form the advanced biomedical research and development hub of the University. The site formation and foundation works for the Student Amenities Centre involved extensive drainage diversion and slope works. The contractor was going full steam ahead with the works so as to meet the building’s target completion date of mid-2012. Construction of the new teaching block for the School of Architecture on Station Road started in July 2010.
