42 服務與關懷 以大學研究成果服務社會 教學、研究及知識轉移是大學三大核心工 作，在大學教育資助委員會撥款支持下，大學 的知識轉移處落實了多項資助計劃，以體現 知識轉移的政策和原則。 「知識轉移項目基金」協助來自不同專業學 者之間的協作，以跨學科的方式貢獻社會。 今年，該基金之下的「跨學科合作項目」和 「個別創新項目」兩種類別，共有二十一個項 目獲得經費支持。 「互動傳情音樂會」糅合了社會科學院心理 學系和文學院音樂系的專長，藉此促進社區 共融，屬典型的「跨學科合作項目」。此計劃 把臨床心理學知識和音樂結合，指導自閉症 患者藉着音樂更清晰表達自己的情感，並令 公眾更了解自閉症患者的特殊需要。 「衞生及醫療人道支援計劃──培訓中國災 區從業者」由賽馬會公共衞生及基層醫療學 院的專家主導，在如四川和廣西等中國自然 災害頻發地區的非政府組織舉行一系列工作 坊，把研究所得的最新知識和技術，傳授給 實地工作人員，再由他們向當地社會傳播， 加強民眾應對災難的能力。 Contributing through Knowledge Transfer Teaching, research and knowledge transfer are the three missions of CUHK. With support from the University Grants Committee, the Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) of CUHK administered a number of funding schemes in the year 2012–13 in line with the University’s knowledge transfer policies. The Knowledge Transfer Project Fund facilitates interdisciplinary community service projects by members from different Faculties. In the year under review, a total of 21 projects were funded under its two new categories: Interdisciplinary Collaboration (ICON) and Individual New Initiatives (INSEED). A typical ICON project, ‘Interactive Concert for Autism’ is an innovative collaboration between the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Social Science and the Department of Music of the Faculty of Arts. Integrating clinical psychology with music, this project is aimed at teaching individuals with autism to better express themselves through music appreciation. The project also provides the general public with an opportunity to have a better understanding of the special needs of autistic children and adults. ‘Training of Trainers (ToTs) of Evidence-Based Health and Medical Humanitarian Response to Field Practitioners in China’ is an INSEED project carried out by the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care of the Faculty of Medicine. The project delivers a series of workshops to NGO workers in natural disaster prone areas of China, such as Sichuan and Guangxi provinces. State-of-the-art knowledge and skills derived from research are shared with field practitioners, so as to diffuse the expertise to the community to tackle various challenges when disasters occur. On the technology transfer front, the University granted 48 licences to licensees in the year under review. And 140 patents were filed across the globe, with 65 granted. Remarkable licensing income was harvested this year from commercialization activities, with a total amount of income generated from intellectual property rights at HK$18.6 million.
